Saltwater Fishing
Saltwater fishing licenses are sold at all county tax collectors' offices and many bait-and-tackle shops. Most K-Marts and Walmarts also carry licenses for fishing.
You can obtain a license over the telephone as well, by calling 1-888-347-4356, or on-line at marinefisheries.org
An additional fee is charged for these services.
You DO NOT need a license if you are:
- children under 16 yrs
- Residents 65 years of age and older.
- Fishing from a for-hire-vessel (guide/charter/party boat) that has a valid vessel license.
- A nonresident fishing for recreational purposes from a pier that has a valid pier saltwater fishing license.

- 7-day license--$16.50
- 1 Yr license---$31.50
an additional .50 fee may be charged for any licens/permit not purchased from the county tax collector.

Beach Meters:
Beach Meters enforced everyday with varying hours. Please read each meter for correct hours.
Expired Meter Fine is $20.00
If the Cashier lots are full, parking may be available on the North end of the Beach
Overnight parking is permitted at the Marina Lot.
The Jolley Trolley operates every 30 minutes. Park downtown and take the Trolley to the beach. For information, please call (727) 445-1200.
